Renewit, a leading home improvement company based in Charlevoix, MI, is seeking an experienced and dynamic HR Manager to oversee all aspects of human resources within the organization. As the HR Manager, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing HR policies, managing recruitment and talent acquisition, fostering a positive work culture, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee development, and offboarding processes.
• Lead and oversee the recruitment and selection process, including job posting, candidate screening, interviews, and reference checks.
• Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, create job descriptions, and attract top talent.
• Administer employee benefits programs and ensure their effective communication and implementation.
• Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR-related matters, including employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
• Develop and conduct training programs to enhance employees’ skills and promote a positive work environment.
• Manage and maintain accurate HR records, including employee data, personnel files, and compliance documentation.
• Stay updated on employment laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and mitigate legal risks.
• Promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the organization.
• Handle employee grievances, conduct investigations, and recommend appropriate actions in line with company policies and legal requirements.
• Prepare HR reports and metrics to monitor key HR indicators and trends.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) are preferred.
• Proven experience as an HR Manager or in a similar HR leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations.
• Demonstrated expertise in recruitment and talent acquisition strategies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across all levels of the organization.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on finding practical and innovative solutions.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain a high level of professionalism.
• Proficient in HRIS software and other HR-related tools.
